Blog One.

" Fast Food Nation" by Eric Schlosser, states or defines how Food Companies persuades their customers by making them believe how much they care about them. One similarity between workers and Fast Food Industries is the unfairness of how these two are mistreating humanity, regardless of the damages it causes. I believe that companies only looks for its own benefits and profit. Using tactics of how to deal with their customers and workers without loosing or spending a large amount of money. Only paying low wages to its workers and mistreating them, and giving the labors hard work by making them feel obligated.

For instance, McDonald is one of the companies Schlosser states in his book. He explains how McDonald use children as a path of getting to the point of making profit. Once it catches kids attention, it creates a loyalty friendship between kids and the company. Parents will take them to McDonald, either to celebrate a special occasion or just to satisfy their needs. " A memo sought to explain the underlying psychology behind many visits to McDonald's: parents took their children to McDonald's because they "want the kids to love them... it makes them feel like a good parents." Parents feel guilty of not taking care of their children and think that by taking them to McDonald it will repair their damages (Schlosser 50).
